EY 3 Pizza Making Field
幼儿园中班制作比萨之旅
Field trips are both fun and memorable ways to promote academic success. With culturally enriching field trips, students can make connections to other educational fields, gain first-hand experiences, and understand concepts on a deeper level. Most importantly, field trips pique the interest of young-learners, a key factor in childrens’ motivation to learn, inspiring students to engage with concepts in ways that are relevant and meaningful. Field trips reinforce topics and ideas learned in the classroom.
户外探究学习以有趣且难忘的方式促进孩子们的学习兴趣和动机,增加学生在课堂的参与感。通过富有文化意义的户外探究学习,学生可以将不同教育领域联系起来从而形成超学科学习,在直观的体验中对抽象的知识和概念有更深层次的理解。此外,户外探究学习目的在于深化探究学习的主题和想法,让学生获得课堂以外的知识、技能和经验。
As per IB, through play-based learning, children develop and nurture fundamentalknowledge and skills. These skills aim to support children of all ages to become learners who know how to ask good questions, set effective goals and pursue their aspirations with the determination to achieve them. Field trips are part of their learning journey as they explore different concepts and environment outside the school walls. Giving equal weightage to both indoor as well as outdoor activities is what will make children well prepared for what lies outside in the real world.

As per the current Unit of Inquiry – How We Express Ourselves, students are learning about stories about other cultures around the world. As they were exploring, students collectively were inquiring about food and culture in Italy. EY3 Teachers and students decided to have an exciting morning going to an Italian restaurant.
幼儿园中班的孩子们目前正在学习“我们如何表达自己”的探究单元,他们探究世界各地的文化故事。在探究单元学习中,孩子们研究了文化是如何影响饮食文化的。由此,他们学习和探究了意大利的故事、文化与食物。最后,孩子和老师们一致认为披萨是最爱的食物并决定制作属于自己的披萨。2月15日,学校组织中班的学生和老师一同前往意大利餐厅制作披萨,希望孩子通过实践和户外探究活动加深他们对本探究主题的理解。

For this field trip children explored their creativity and communication skills to make and design our pizza. It was the first field trip and a wonderful learning experience with EY3 class. They had a lot of fun with friends and enjoyed the lovely pizza at snack time. We are looking for more field trip in the following time, to enrich student’s learning experience, and to learning more knowledge.
通过户外探究学习,孩子们发挥了自己的创造力和沟通能力,制作和设计了比萨饼。这是幼儿园中班本学期的第一次户外探究学习,是一次精彩的学习经历。孩子们和老师们乐在其中,并在课间时间享受我们美味的比萨。期待接下来会有更多的户外探究学习体验,丰富孩子们学习经历的同时,学到更多的知识。
